My name is Charlotte, and I’ve been a professional wedding photographer in Nottingham serving the Midlands and the UK since 2012. My mission is to tell your story with an artistic eye, a calm heart, and a completely honest lens.
Fine Art Wedding Photography & Academic Background
My work is deeply rooted in the world of fine art. I hold a BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art Photography, a period of study that allowed me to fully immerse myself in the art of image-making and develop my creative voice. By studying the deep history and core foundations of photography, I learned how to look at light, composition, and human connection differently. This academic background remains the foundation of how I shoot today; it taught me that every single frame should have a purpose, a philosophy I carry directly into your wedding day.

My style blends honest, unposed documentary storytelling with beautiful, creative portraits. Instead of trying to control your day, I focus on capturing the genuine energy of it. I’ve spent years training my eye to see the fleeting, unscripted moments that make your story unique – the shared laughter during a speech, a quiet look between the two of you, or the energy of your favourite people on the dance floor.
I always bring a fresh, artistic edge to my work, ensuring your wedding gallery feels timeless, vivid, and relevant. Most of my work is shot on high-end digital kit for ultimate precision, but I also love to offer analogue film as a soulful, nostalgic add-on.

I’ve been told I have a calm, reassuring presence. I don’t shout, instruct, or force you into stiff, awkward poses!
Instead, my approach is entirely centered on keeping you and your loved ones feeling completely at ease. I absolutely love being right amongst your guests, blending into the crowd so everyone feels comfortable around my camera. I focus on composition and working naturally with the light, guiding you gently so you can just enjoy being together. I aim to be a mindful observer of your day, ensuring I catch those incredible, fleeting moments that happen when you are simply relaxed and enjoying the celebration.

When I’m not documenting weddings in the East Midlands, you’ll usually find me hiking through the Peak District with my loved ones. I’m an outdoors soul at heart, but I’m just as happy at home, recharging with my wire-haired dachshund, Pippa, on the sofa. We’ll usually be caught in front of a good travel or history documentary, or lost in a book. To keep my energy high and stay centered, I also really enjoy my yoga practice – Hotpod Yoga is my absolute jam!
As a massive lover of cinema, I also love nothing more than catching a great film at my local independent spot, the Broadway Cinema in Nottingham. When it comes to reading, I’m particularly drawn to the lyrical, dreamlike worlds of authors like Haruki Murakami and Elif Shafak. I love their style of writing – where the everyday is infused with a touch of ordinary magic and the storytelling is deeply introspective. I think that’s why I love weddings; they are real-life stories full of that same quiet, incredible feeling.
I’m a firm believer that the best photographs happen when you’re relaxed enough to be yourself – and I’m here to make sure that’s exactly how you feel.
