If you’re planning a wedding at Aswarby Rectory in Lincolnshire, you’ll love this wedding for inspiration!
Leah and Sam got married at Aswarby Rectory, which is a stunning Georgian House in Lincolnshire surrounded by nine acres of parkland and private gardens. The property is connected to the Grade I listed Church of St Denys by means of a private woodland walk. It was a gorgeous summer wedding and the sun shone all day long!
Getting Hitched
The ceremony was an intimate affair in the main ceremony room, formerly the house kitchens. During the ceremony they had several beautiful readings from friends and family, including the flower girls. The fireplace was decorated with candles combined with a wild meadow flower theme by Number Twenty Seven. The reception was held outside in the grounds at Aswarby Rectory – I love this venue because the light is gorgeous for portraits and candids. Weddings at Aswarby Rectory have so much to offer, because the surroundings are completely stunning whilst still keeping an intimate atmosphere.
Why Aswarby Rectory is a great place to get married
Aswarby Rectory is really peaceful and secluded, and is one of the loveliest places to get married in Lincolnshire. The venue offers warmth and serenity of this quiet country house, far removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. There are so many beautiful spots that are perfect for photos, including the lane at sunset and the wonderful staircase.
The Reception
The couple had a live singer in the afternoon, and a fun DJ set in the evening. The love these two have for each other is insane as the photos show! So much so, they opted to sit alone together at their own sweetheart table for the wedding breakfast. Thomas the Caterer provided tapas style sharing platters, and the first dance was to their favourite song.
The Couple
The couple got in touch with me via Eric at Bigger Boat Films (an awesome wedding videographer, check him out) and such a dream to work with. We happen to live in the same neighbourhood; it’s such a sweet surprise when I bump into my couples on my dog walks!
Advice for planning your wedding at Aswarby Rectory Lincolnshire
This venue really is the ultimate black canvas without being bland; it oozes chic country retreat vibes and is perfect for a smaller wedding, with a maximum capacity of 80 guests. It suits a boho style really well, making most of the minimal decor with wild flower inspired florals and foliage. Be sure to check out the list of suppliers that worked on this wedding (at the bottom of the page).
I love photographing at this venue and hope that you’ll enjoy the photos as much as Leah and Sam do….
“We cannot recommend Charlotte enough! She photographed our wedding and was absolutely brilliant. The photos were just what we wanted, we never felt under pressure to be photographed and she fit into our day like a guest. If you’re getting married or looking for a photographer for an event, you won’t get better than Charlotte!“
