If you’re planning a celebration at this stunning Georgian House in Lincolnshire, you’ll love Leah and Sam’s day for inspiration. As an Aswarby Rectory wedding photographer, I am always struck by how the house is perfectly surrounded by nine acres of parkland and private gardens. It was a wonderful summer wedding where the sun shone from start to finish!
An Intimate Ceremony at Aswarby Rectory
The ceremony was a truly intimate affair held in the main ceremony room, which used to be the house kitchens. During the service, they had several beautiful readings from friends and family, including the flower girls. The fireplace was decorated with a glow of candles combined with a wild meadow flower theme by Number Twenty Seven.
The reception followed outside in the private grounds. I love working at this venue because the light is stunning for portraits and candid moments. Weddings here offer so much because the surroundings are completely beautiful while still keeping a personal, quiet atmosphere.
Why I Love Being an Aswarby Rectory Wedding Photographer
Aswarby Rectory is incredibly peaceful and secluded, making it one of the loveliest places to get married in Lincolnshire. The venue offers the warmth and serenity of a quiet country house, far removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. As a photographer, I value the many beautiful spots perfect for photos, including the tree-lined lane at sunset and the wonderful grand staircase.
Tapas and Sweetheart Tables
The couple had a live singer in the afternoon and a fun DJ set in the evening. The love these two have for each other is so clear to see! They even opted to sit alone together at their own sweetheart table for the wedding breakfast to soak in the moment. Thomas the Caterer provided delicious tapas-style sharing platters, and the first dance was a perfect end to the formalities.
The couple got in touch with me via Eric at Bigger Boat Films (a brilliant wedding videographer). We actually happen to live in the same neighbourhood; it’s always such a sweet surprise when I bump into my couples while out on my dog walks!
Advice for Planning Your Wedding at Aswarby Rectory
This venue really is the ultimate blank canvas without being bland; it oozes chic country retreat vibes and is perfect for a smaller wedding. It suits a boho style particularly well, making the most of the minimal decor with wild-flower-inspired florals and foliage.
I value every opportunity to photograph at this venue and I hope that you enjoy the photos as much as Leah and Sam do. They were kind enough to share these words:
“I cannot recommend Charlotte enough! She photographed our wedding and was absolutely brilliant. The photos were just what we wanted, we never felt under pressure and she fit into our day like a guest. If you’re getting married, you won’t get better than Charlotte!“
