Looking back at the best wedding photographs of 2024 is the perfect way to bring some warmth to these winter days. Picking favourites is never easy when every wedding is filled with so many incredible moments! After countless hours behind the camera and even more selecting the final images, I’m excited to share some of the highlights from this amazing year as a natural editorial storytelling Nottingham wedding photographer.
From emotional “I dos” to packed dance floors, this year’s weddings have been nothing short of unforgettable. I love to travel and have been lucky enough to shoot weddings across the UK, from grand country houses to charming barns. As a Nottingham-based wedding photographer, I’ve captured celebrations at some of the most stunning venues in the Midlands, including Prestwold Hall, The West Mill, Holme Pierrepont Hall, Woodborough Hall, Hazel Gap Barn (Cripps & Co), Yeldersley Hall, Stretton Manor Barn, Pheasantry Brewery, and The Bridal Barn Shropshire. I also love capturing the most gorgeous counties, like Buckinghamshire, where rolling landscapes make for the perfect backdrop. From elegant marquee weddings at home to timeless church ceremonies, every wedding is a unique reflection of the couple’s vision and story.
Natural editorial storytelling Nottingham wedding photographer
As an editorial documentary wedding photographer, my approach is all about storytelling—blending a refined, editorial style with a natural, candid feel. I love to mix beautifully composed, artistic portraits with the raw, unscripted moments that make each wedding unique. From quiet morning preparations to the excited ‘we’re married!’ grins, and finally, everyone letting loose on the dance floor, I strive to create a visual record that not only looks stunning but truly feels like the day. I’ve also captured many intimate days or ‘micro weddings’ through my hourly wedding photography package. You can learn more about this here
Looking through these photos, you’ll find a balance of artistically crafted, timeless imagery alongside heartfelt documentary wedding photography moments. Whether it was a sun-drenched summer celebration or a cosy autumnal gathering, every wedding had its own magic.
A Love Letter to 2024’s Weddings
I always feel like this post is akin to a love letter to the past year. I spend hours perfecting each gallery, and the journey from first meeting my couples to delivering their wedding photos can span around two years! That’s a long time to be involved in someone’s love story, and while it’s bittersweet to wrap up each wedding, I always hope to cross paths again—whether at a future wedding, anniversary shoot, or just in life!
A massive thank you to all of my wonderful couples for trusting me to capture your wedding day—it means the world. Also, a huge shoutout to the talented suppliers I’ve worked alongside this year; your creativity and dedication help make these days so incredible.
Looking Ahead to 2025
I also have a wedding venue wishlist—a dream list of locations I’d absolutely love to photograph weddings at! If you’re getting married at one of these venues, let’s chat about a bespoke quote for your day. You can check out the wishlist here.
As I step into another exciting year as a Midlands wedding photographer, I’ve got an incredible lineup of weddings ahead, from Nottingham to the Cotswolds and beyond. And, I’m thrilled to be launching something new: analogue film wedding photography! I can’t wait to bring this nostalgic, timeless medium to my couples alongside my usual digital photography.
If you’re planning your wedding and are on the hunt for a Cotswolds wedding photographer or a Nottingham wedding photographer, I’d love to chat! You can get in touch here.
Bring on another year of incredible love stories, big celebrations, and all the unforgettable moments in between!
