Holme Pierrepont Hall Wedding – Emma and Gav

I LOVE photographing weddings at Holme Pierrepont Hall, especially a fun Spring day like Emma’ and Gav’s celebration. This couple were just overflowing with joy, excitement and gratitude to have all their favourite people in one place, especially as the venue is close to their home in West Bridgford. Event their pet dog Edna joined in the reception celebrations, getting much love and fuss from the guests as you’ll see in the photos.

Venue: Holme Pierrepont Hall

When booking Holme Pierrepont Hall as your wedding venue, you can take full advantage of the property’s unique and historical setting. The Tudor house with its original period features and picturesque gardens provide the perfect backdrop for photographs. Consider utilising the Grade II listed Courtyard garden or the immaculate formal grounds for outdoor ceremonies, you may get lucky with the wisteria flowering! Additionally, make sure to explore the three different rooms available for ceremonies and receptions, each offering a distinct style and ambience. Whether it’s the romantically traditional Long Gallery seating up to 120 guests, the light and airy Ball Room for up to 50 guests, or the historic Medieval Lodgings accommodating up to 40 guests, there is a perfect space for every wedding at Holme Pierrepont Hall.

Later on in the day, you can enjoy the sunset in the grounds to the side of the hall, providing the ideal backdrop for your evening reception where you could place an ice cream van and/or pizza truck. Photographing a wedding at Holme Pierrepont Hall in Nottingham

As I arrived at Holme Pierrepont Hall, I was immediately struck by the stunning beauty of the venue. The historic architecture and lush gardens provided the perfect backdrop for a spring wedding ceremony and reception. I couldn’t wait to start capturing the natural moments that would unfold throughout the day.

As the bride and groom prepared for their big day, I discreetly documented every detail with a documentary approach. I wanted to capture the natural and authentic moments that would tell the story of their love and life together. The soft, natural light streaming through the windows created a beautiful ambiance, setting the stage for a day filled with love and laughter.

Outdoor Spring Wedding Ceremony

Throughout the outdoor wedding ceremony, I focused on capturing the intimate moments between the couple as they exchanged vows and rings in the bright Spring sunshine. The emotion on their faces was palpable, and I made sure to capture every tear, smile, and laugh that passed between them!

The Reception

The reception was a lively affair, with music played by a string quartet, dancing, and heartfelt toasts filling the air. I mingled with guests, capturing candid moments of joy and excitement as they celebrated the newlyweds. Emma and Gav’s happiness was infectious, and I couldn’t help but smile as I snapped away, knowing that I was documenting memories that would tell the real story of the day.

Each wedding I photograph will vary with tricky lighting conditions and fast-paced moments, so I remained focused and adaptable, ensuring that I captured every important detail of the day. From the vibrant floral arrangements to the heartfelt embraces between loved ones, I strove to create a collection of images that would bring the day to life for the couple and their loved ones.

As the sun began to set on the beautiful grounds of Holme Pierrepont Hall, I knew that I had captured the essence of the day in a fun and personable way. The natural, fine art style of my photography had allowed me to create a timeless collection of images that would serve as a lasting reminder of the love and joy that had filled the air that day. It was truly a privilege to be a part of such a special occasion, and I left feeling grateful to have been able to document such a beautiful celebration of love.

I am very grateful for this wonderful review from Emma & Gav…

“These are absolutely INCREDIBLE!!… Thank you SO much for everything on Saturday. You were a total joy to have there with us on our special day, and we can’t actually thank you enough. I feel like we both want to be your friend now please?”
