Hazel Gap Barn Wedding Photographer – Warm & Natural Style

If you’re on the hunt for a Hazel Gap Barn wedding photographer who captures natural, joy-filled moments (with a healthy dose of golden hour gorgeousness), you’re in the right place. Holly & Peter’s summer wedding at this stunning Nottinghamshire venue was full of laughter, chic style, and one very sweet first look that had me blinking back a tear. Let me show you what made this one such a stunner!

Why Hazel Gap Barn is a Dream to Photograph

Let’s talk venue. Hazel Gap Barn is a beautifully restored red-brick barn nestled on the Welbeck Estate—full of rustic character, with big open fireplaces, exposed beams, and all the charm a wedding photographer could wish for. With space for up to 150 guests inside, and loads of lush outdoor space, it’s perfect whatever the weather decides to do (classic British summer, eh?).

As a Hazel Gap Barn wedding photographer, I adore working here—the light is lovely, there’s loads of room to move and get those relaxed, documentary-style candids I love, and honestly? The food from Cripps is always next-level.

Golden Hour

One of the things that makes Hazel Gap Barn truly sing is the golden hour light that floods in just behind the barn. The sunset here is pure magic (no better word for it!), and we definitely made the most of it with some dreamy portraits of Holly & Peter later in the day. That kind of soft, glowy light? A warm and natural wedding photographer’s dream.

Chic Bridal Style, a Sweet First Look & a Very Cute Car

Holly’s bridal look was effortlessly stylish—a Suzanne Neville dress from Frances Day Bridal, complete with the prettiest veil covered in little fluttering flowers. She looked absolutely radiant. One of my favourite parts of the day was her emotional first look with her dad—so tender and real. These in-between moments are what I’m always watching for.

And we have to talk about the car! Holly arrived in the cutest pale blue vintage Fiat 500 from Lil & Blue, which added such a fun, retro touch to the day. We made the most of it later on too—some of my favourite portraits are of Holly and Peter laughing together in the car. Such a lovely mix of stylish and playful, and totally them.

Timeless Black Tie & Bloom-Filled Tables

Peter and his groomsmen went for classic black tie (yes please), which looked so sharp against the warm tones of the barn. The table plan was based around flower names—a lovely personal touch—and the florals by Coco in the Country were romantic, soft, and perfectly in tune with the barn’s rustic vibe. I love getting little editorial-style shots of styled tables, then switching right back to guests belly-laughing with their cocktails!

Candid Moments

There’s something so joyful about capturing guests mid-laugh, mid-toast, or mid-emotional reaction. That mix of documentary wedding photography and stylish detail is what I’m all about.

Let’s Hear It for the Suppliers
