I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful August wedding at Stretton Manor Barn, nestled in the picturesque Derbyshire Countryside. This was an absolute stunner of a wedding for me as a Derbyshire wedding photographer, complete with the couple’s adorable dog in attendance.

The Couple

The bride Chloe looked radiant in her stunning Sophia Tolli embroidered gown, with a beautiful dried flower crown by Luna and Wild. A perfect blend of bohemian summer and timeless elegance. Plus Chloe has one of the biggest, brightest smiles!! I loved the sage green infinity bridesmaid dresses too, meaning each person got to wear it their way. The groom Jono looked mega sharp in his tuxedo as did his groomsmen. The couple’s style perfectly complemented the rustic charm of the barn and the countryside setting.

The Ceremony

Throughout the day, I made sure to capture candid shots of the couple and their loved ones, capturing genuine emotions and the joyous atmosphere. From the nervous excitement of getting ready to the heartfelt vows exchanged during the ceremony under a blazing sun, every moment was infused with love and happiness. I was super happy to see Helen and Tom again too, whose wedding I photographed the year before.

The couple’s dog made a memorable appearance during the wedding, dutifully watching on during the vows. I’m a huge doggo fan, so it was heartwarming to see their furry companion (a proper old boy, he did so well) sharing in the celebrations. I took special care to capture the fun and playful moments, highlighting the strong bond between the couple and their four-legged friend.

Working in natural light, I captured the essence of the venue and its surroundings from the sunny outdoor ceremony to the low light barn vibes. The idyllic countryside scenery provided the perfect backdrop for stunning portraits of the couple, both individually and together. The Dance Floor

As the evening progressed, the barn transformed into a lively dance floor, filled with laughter and high spirits. Everyone was super excited to experience ‘The Piano Animal’; Michael hands out post-it notes for guests to hand in their song requests and he plays nearly all of them on his keyboard. We went from Avril Lavigne to Neil Diamond. Serious nostalgia.
